Role Summary
As the Sales Manager – Chemicals, you will play a critical leadership role in driving business development, building client relationships, and overseeing sales activities related to chemical products and services. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the chemical industry, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and market share growth in the chemical sector.
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing clients.
- Lead and mentor the sales team, setting performance targets and tracking KPIs.
- Provide technical product knowledge and support to clients in coordination with the technical and engineering teams.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and client feedback to inform sales strategies and product offerings.
- Participate in pricing discussions, tender submissions, and contract negotiations.
- Prepare detailed sales forecasts, reports, and presentations for senior management.
Required Qualifications
- A university degree or relevant academic qualification in Chemistry, Business, Sales Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in chemical sales, preferably in industrial or water treatment products.
- Strong technical understanding of chemical products, applications, and client use cases.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage high-performance sales teams.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using CRM tools, preparing sales analytics, and managing client pipelines.
