Human Resources Officer

 

 

Reporting to the Manager Human Resources, the HR Officer will provide overall assistance to the effective functioning of the HR functions for the organization. The successful candidate will work in a highly collaborative environment and assist in the implementation of policies and procedures to foster a work environment that inspires excellence in people.

 

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

 

 

· Provide support in the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems.
· Act as a trusted advisor on policies and procedures and align these to changing business needs as and when required.
· Be actively involved in the recruitment process by preparing job descriptions, posting ads and managing the hiring process.
· Create and implement effective onboarding plans and play an active role in the whole process.
· Work closely with the Unit Heads and Executive team members to develop training and development programs.
· Interpret and analyze HR data and trends to develop reports and dashboards that deliver actionable insights for management decision-making.
· Ensure on-going compliance to policies and procedures as well as labour regulations.
· Ensure the effective development and implementation of strategies to support business improvement initiatives.
· Work with internal stakeholders to driving the “Vodafone Spirit” culture for continuous improvement and innovation across the company.

 

 

Requirements (Education, Experience and Key Competencies)

 

 

· Degree in Human Resources Management, Information Systems, Management, Business Studies, or equivalent
· Previous experience in human resources or a related field is a prerequisite.
· Applicant must be a self-starter and have good command of English both written and verbal with excellent communication skills.
· Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data.
· A clean and valid driver’s license (group 2) would be an advantage but not necessary.
· Be technology savvy and have a passion for excellence.
· Be self-directed, have excellent initiative, innovative, be “on the go” and possess organizational skills to develop plans, policies and forecasts.
