Leeward Island Services Limited (LISL) operates various services, both Passenger and freight, between Port Denarau, Fiji Islands to Plantation Island servicing three resorts; Plantation
Island resort, Lomani and Musket Cove. LISL also provides on island airstrip service maintenance and management, on island power generation services and management and medical
services to both visitors and hotel staff.
We are currently seeking an experienced financial officer to join the LISL team to oversee the day-to-day various financial functions within the group.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Finance Officer is responsible for handling financial transactions, and other business financial requirements in support of General Manager, the Denarau and island-based operations groups and
Head Office finance processing requirements.
Key performance indicators include but are not limited to; financial reporting accuracy, budget understanding and preparation, P&L review, understanding and recommendations to the General Manager, confidentiality of all financial information, daily banking reconciliations, weekly payroll cost review.
Some elements of the role:

Complete daily banking and mail bag run preparation for dispatch.

Open incoming daily mail bag and distribute contents accordingly.

Reconciliation of medical clinic employee and guest invoices.

Prepare and submit the daily banking report.

Complete spot checks on cash floats.

Complete daily credit card reconciliation.
-
Complete weekly payroll preparation for Head Office Payroll processing.

Any other adhoc finance related tasks as requested by General Manager/ Finance department.
Part of what we need from you:
-
Tertiary qualification in Finance or a related field is preferred.

Tertiary qualification (degree or diploma), with a great command of written and spoken English, well presented
with an eye for detail. -
2-3 years previous experience in a similar role and/or environment will be highly desirable with strong focus and
passion for supply chain / tourism operations -
Self starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced role, with high level of self-organizing skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint and preferably working knowledge of Custom Linc, or related
booking and or reservation systems -
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Accuracy in data entry and accounting practices.

Very high level of reliability.

Very high work ethic.
