Recruitment for Chef

Sinohydro is currently looking for 2 Chefs to join our team. The position will be based at the Rewa River Water Supply Project Office and construction site in Naqali, Naitasiri Province, as well as other relevant locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a wide variety of Chinese dishes, with a focus on Sichuan cuisine, ensuring authentic taste and presentation.

• Design and update Chinese menus based on company needs and seasonal availability.

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen in accordance with health and safety regulations.

• Manage food inventory, storage, and control food costs effectively.

• Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations.

• Ensure timely delivery of staff meals and special event catering.

• Perform other kitchen-related tasks as assigned.

Qualification, Knowledge & Skills

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Chinese cuisine chef, with proven skills in Sichuan dishes.

• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, Chinese cooking methods, and hygiene standards.

• Creativity in menu design and strong passion for Chinese culinary arts.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet time requirements.

• Basic knowledge of nutrition and healthy food preparation is an advantage.

• Fluent in both English and Chinese.

• Willingness to work overtime.
