Centre Manager

Our Client, Port Denarau Centre Management Pte Limited (“PDCML”), invites applications from dynamic and experienced professionals for the position of Centre Manager to lead the operations of Fiji’s premier Retail and Commercial Centre located on Denarau Island.

This landmark waterfront property spans over 10,000 sqm, showcasing a vibrant mix of restaurants, retail outlets, and commercial spaces that form the heart of Denarau’s business and tourism hub.

The Retail and Commercial Centre Manager will work closely with the Board to maintain and advance the successful strategies currently in place, ensuring the Centre’s continued growth and prominence. This position is responsible for the overall operations, financial management, compliance, and governance of the Centre. This includes ensuring a high standard of presentation, maintenance, and service delivery across all facilities while fostering positive relationships with tenants, contractors, and key stakeholders.

The role demands an energetic, people-focused, and results-driven approach, with high level strategic thinking and leadership capability to influence decision making and drive performance across the organisation.

The role’s key responsibilities include:

• Oversee daily operations and maintenance of the Centre, ensuring all areas are clean, functional, and well-presented.

• Supervise staff and contractors including maintenance, security, cleaning, landscaping, and waste management services.

• Manage budgets, financial reporting, and expenditures in line with approved guidelines and Board directions.

• Enforce Centre by-laws and ensure compliance with relevant legal, insurance, and safety requirements.

• Prepare Board papers, report, and assist in the coordination of Board and Annual General Meetings.

• Promote the Centre through approved marketing, events, and community engagement activities.

• Provide leadership that upholds the Centre’s reputation for quality, safety, and excellence in service delivery.

The preferred candidate must have:

• At least 5 years of experience in senior management role, preferably in property, retail or facilities management.

• Tertiary qualifications in management, commerce, or related discipline will be considered an advantage.

• Proven leadership in managing multi-disciplinary teams and contractors.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills, and experience working with a Board.

• Sound understanding of Fijian property, safety, and regulatory frameworks.
