Operations Manager- Punjas Packaging

Punjas Group of Companies, leading Manufacturers and Distributors of Consumer Goods in Fiji and the Pacific Region is seeking to recruit dynamic, resourceful and performance-oriented individual for the above position.

Core responsibilities of the job will be to:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Printing Press, Poly Bags, Plastics and Corrugated Carton units.

• Develop and implement production plans to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.

• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

• Manage budgets, monitor KPIs, and prepare operational reports for senior management.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team across all units.

• Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and sales teams to ensure smooth workflow.

• Implement preventive maintenance schedules for machinery and equipment.

To be successful in this position, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in operations management, Engineering, or related field.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing specially in packaging and printing operations.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Excellent knowledge of production planning, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
