PROJECT MANAGER (Re-Advertised)

 

 

OVERVIEW

 


ATS is seeking highly skilled, experienced and qualified Project Manager to lead the construction of a state- of – the – art- Flight Catering Centre. The successful candidate will lead and manage the project lifecycle, from planning and design through to construction, commissioning, and handover with specified timelines. The Project Manager role is a senior management position reporting to the Chief Executive Officer.

 

 

SUMMARY OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

 

  • Provide overall leadership, coordination and management of the construction of the new catering production facility.

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, budgets and risk registers.

  • Oversee tendering and procurement processes for contractors, consultants and materials.

  • Manage and supervise the work of contractors, consultants and vendors to ensure quality, safety and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

  • Liaise regularly with ATS management, stakeholders, consultants and government authorities to ensure timely reporting and resolution of issues.

  • Prepare and present regular project updates, progress reports and financial summaries to senior management and the Board.

  • Ensure that the project is delivered within the approved budget, timeframe and specifications.

 

 

QUALIFICATION

 

 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or a related field. A postgraduate qualification or PMP certification will be an advantage.

  • Minimum of six (6) years of proven experience in managing large-scale construction or infrastructure projects, preferably in commercial, industrial or aviation environments.

  • Demonstrated experience in contract management, construction supervision and stakeholder engagement.

  • Strong leadership, negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to produce professional project documentation and reports.

  • Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations, Fijian building codes and environmental compliance standards.
