The Machine Operator / Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient operation, monitoring, and maintenance of production machinery, including setup, inspections, and basic troubleshooting to ensure consistent manufacturing output and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating, trouble shooting and maintaining all machinery related to electrical, pneumatic and instrumentation controls for food processing and packing machinery for the Dairy Processing Line.
- Performing routine checks on the processing, packing and auxiliary machines in the dairy processing line to ensure smooth and efficient production.
- Monitoring the machines while on operation to ensure their expected performance.
- Maintain the proper checklists for the machines in dairy line.
- Inspecting all machines and performing test procedures to ensure that the machines operate with optimum efficiency.
- Implementing plant safety programs and ensuring compliance with GMP to maintain cleanliness, proper sanitation and hygiene for the whole line.
- Ensuring good spare parts management through routine inspections working alongside internal stakeholders.
- Collaborating with team leaders to solve problems and drive continuous value add improvements within the business.
Requirements
- A Degree or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 10 years’ relevant experience in food manufacturing.
- The ability to work with the management team to drive performance.
