SPFL is seeking a suitably qualified and motivated Agriculture Specialist to work directly with farmers and agricultural companies, providing them with the latest techniques and information to make better decisions and increase agricultural production.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate Sales and Marketing
- Promote SPF products (regular visits to clients).
- Meetings – Educate/advice clients on products available and its correct use for optimum results
- Attend to complaints raised by clients as quickly as possible
- Survey need/demand for new products by client
- Build and maintain relationship with stakeholders, research stations, farmers and businesses
- Keep accurate record of all sales and stock – accountability of sales
- Monitor and share information with regard to use of assets to improve efficiency and reduce cost
- Conduct awareness of the products to schools, universities and cooperatives
Requirements
- At least an Advance Diploma in Tropical Agriculture and or a Bachelor’s Degree majors in Botany, Agricultural Science or Natural Resource Management is preferred
- 10 years work experience at senior level in the related field and knowledge of sugar industry and agriculture sector is essential.
- Must be Research oriented, interest in Soil and Plant Nutrition and Weed Science etc
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Must be fluent in English but i-Taukei and Hindi would be an advantage
- Must hold a valid Group 6 Driving Licence with a clean record
