The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change seeks a qualified consultant or firm to develop a comprehensive National Protected Area Policy that provides a unified framework for the establishment, governance, management, and sustainable financing of terrestrial and marine protected areas in Fiji.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review relevant PA/MPA legislation and policies
  • Conduct policy and legislative gap analysis
  • Facilitate stakeholder consultations
  • Draft and finalize the National Protected Area Policy for Cabinet consideration

Requirements

  • LLB with admission to practice in Fiji (mandatory)
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in environmental/natural resource law or policy
  • Proven policy drafting and consultation experience
  • Knowledge of Fiji’s environmental and customary governance frameworks

Salary

FJD$49,000.00
