We are seeking a Project Delivery Manager in Fiji to lead the full lifecycle of product development and delivery across key banking domains, including Core Banking, Treasury, Trade, and Payments. This role will be responsible for driving solution design, technical architecture alignment, development oversight, testing coordination, and stakeholder management to ensure the successful rollout of product versions. The Project Delivery Manager will act as the primary point of contact for implementation teams, managing scope, risks, schedules, and resources while ensuring solutions are efficient, scalable, and aligned with business and technical requirements. This position requires strong technical leadership, structured delivery discipline, and the ability to guide cross-functional teams from project initiation through go-live and handover to support.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the complete lifecycle from conceptualization, design to development & release; technical walk through of the solution mapped to business requirements;
- Ensure solution is optimal, efficient and scalable; must be technically superior;
- Project Initiation and commitment from all stakeholders
- Product Development & Testing;
- Ensure team commitment, result orientation;
- Set and manage expectations – external and internal, ensure decision logs;
- Serve as primary contact to implementation teams from kick-off to rollout of the product version; Develop detailed WBS and resource plan, tracking effort & schedule to plans;
- Identify and mitigate risks for the development & release;
- Manage scope creeps, actively re-estimate on changes, bring out technical & delivery impact;
- Facilitate the definition of technical architecture for the solution;
- Assist in fitment Study for functional requirements / technical interfaces/ data migration / UX & UI development / Training;
- Co-Manage Scope with SDD as needed; NFR identification, tracking, reporting;
- Support Testing activities – SIT and UAT
- Handover to Support teams on Go-Live
Requirements
- Master of Computer Applications (MCA) or equivalent postgraduate qualification in IT or Computer Science.
- 10+ years of proven experience in IT project delivery, client service management, and production support.
- Strong background in banking and financial systems, especially Core Banking, Lending, Treasury, Trade Finance, and HRMS implementations.
- Experience managing projects across diverse regions, including Southeast Asia (Philippines, Vietnam, Myanmar, Singapore) and India.
- Hands-on expertise with project planning, risk/issue tracking, status reporting, and stakeholder management.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, JIRA,
- Ability to create and manage project artifacts including project plans, status reports, requirement documents, and minutes.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) including requirements gathering, design, testing, implementation, and migration.
- Ability to analyze end-to-end processes, evaluate technical fitment, and support SIT/UAT activities.
- Experience delivering and supporting Core Banking and ERP-related systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to mentor teams, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and coordinate with senior leaders.
- Experience handling multi-country clients and managing large implementation/support teams.
