Fiji Rakavi Football Union Limited (FRU) is seeking a DIGITAL MEDIA & CONTENT MANAGER. We are seeking a dynamic, creative, and strategically minded Digital Media & Content Manager to become the chief storyteller for Fiji Rugby. This pivotal role is responsible for designing and executing a world-class digital content, broadcast & in-stadia strategy that captures the exhilarating on-field action, the rich culture behind our teams, and the heartfelt connection with our fans across Fiji and the global diaspora. You will be the voice of Fiji Rugby, managing all owned channels to drive growth, engagement and commercial value while leading content delivery, in-stadium creatives and long form formats such as broadcast & podcasts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an integrated annual digital media and content strategy aligned with Fiji Rugby’s commercial, marketing, and team objectives.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for audience growth, engagement, and conversion across all platforms.
- Manage the digital content calendar, ensuring alignment with match schedules, team campaigns, community initiatives, and commercial partnerships.
- Stay ahead of digital trends, platform updates, and rugby media landscape to keep Fiji Rugby at the forefront.
- Lead the end-to-end creation of compelling, high-quality content (video, photo, written, audio) for all digital platforms.
- Produce captivating behind-the-scenes features, player profiles, match highlights, tactical analysis and cultural documentaries that go beyond the game.
- Capture and edit live content during matches, training sessions and team events.
- Develop and maintain a strong, consistent brand voice and visual identity across all content.
- Lead content creation for major international fixtures, including inbound tours, overseas tours, test matches and global tournaments, ensuring world-class coverage across all platforms.
- Act as Creative Lead for Fiji Rugby podcasts, overseeing concept development, production, publishing, and ongoing content strategy.
- Plan, produce, and distribute long-form audio and video content, including podcasts and documentary-style features.
- Manage, grow and daily oversee all official social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, TikTok, YouTube).
- Manage and optimize the official Fiji Rugby website, ensuring timely updates, news, and fixture information.
- Foster a vibrant, positive and engaged online community; actively respond to fans and moderate discussions.
- Utilize platform-specific tools (e.g., Instagram Stories, TikTok trends, YouTube SEO) to maximize reach and impact.
- Serve as the primary digital contact for key broadcast and commercial partners, ensuring contractual deliverables are met and amplified.
- Maintain a centralized, organized digital asset library (photography, video archives, logos).
- Collaborate with the commercial team to create integrated sponsor content and digital activation packages.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on performance metrics across all channels.
- Use data-driven insights to refine strategy, improve content performance and demonstrate ROI to stakeholders.
- Oversee the creation and delivery of in-stadia digital content, including big screen visuals, virtual/actual grass signage, LED ribbon content and virtual or broadcast-integrated graphics.
- Collaborate with match operations, broadcast partners, and commercial teams to ensure in-stadium assets align with brand, sponsor and competition requirements.
- Ensure seamless integration between stadium content, broadcast moments and social/digital amplification on match days.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Journalism, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4-5 years of proven experience in a digital media/content role, preferably in sports, entertainment, or a fast-paced consumer brand.
- A compelling portfolio showcasing expertise in video editing (Adobe Premiere Pro/Final Cut Pro), graphic design (Adobe Creative Suite/ Canva), and content creation.
- Deep, practical knowledge of all major social media platforms, their algorithms, and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in iTaukei and/or Fiji Hindi is a significant advantage.
- Experience with website CMS (e.g., WordPress), email marketing platforms, and social media analytics tools.
