We are seeking an experienced Chief Operations Officer (COO) – Marine Specialist to join our dynamic and passionate team. This senior leadership role is ideal for a hands-on marine professional with strong operational, technical, and people-management expertise in exclusive island or water-sports resorts.
Key Responsibilities
- Extensive experience managing all marine and water-sports operations within an exclusive island or resort environment.
- Developing and implementing maintenance schedules
- Training and supervising marine staff
- Problem-solving, project management, and strategic planning
- Proven ability to train and lead staff in activities such as: Fishing, Surfing, Kiting and foiling, Jet ski operations, Stand-up paddling and related water sports
- Train staff in effective techniques, including best-practice Catch and Release methods.
- Reef conservation and sustainable management of island and surrounding marine environments.
Requirements
- Extensive experience managing all marine and water-sports operations within an exclusive island or resort environment.
- Strong management skills
- In-depth knowledge of: Outboard and diesel engines and Vessel systems and preventative maintenance
- Working knowledge of GPS, radar, satellite phones, and VHF radio systems.
- Certified in CPR and Advanced First Aid, with strong water safety awareness.
- Experience in sport fishing and the ability to train staff in effective techniques, including best-practice Catch and Release methods.
- Demonstrated experience in reef conservation and sustainable management of island and surrounding marine environments.
- Experience working with international clientele.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
