Reddy Group is currently seeking a vibrant, passionate and suitably skilled personnel for the below roles to be based at Corporate Head Office, Lautoka. We are seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter / Joiner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a true craftsman, equally comfortable framing out a new structure as they are crafting bespoke internal timberwork. You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, from initial layout and structural installation to high-quality finishing and cabinetry.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning & Layout: Study blueprints, sketches, and building plans to determine project layouts, precise dimensions, and material requirements.
- Material Preparation: Measure, cut, shape, and finish wood, plastic, and composite materials using a variety of hand and power tools (saws, drills, planes, etc.).
- Structural & Fine Installation: Build and install walls, floors, roof trusses, and door/window frames, as well as high-end joinery like molding, custom cabinets, and stairs.
- Restoration & Repair: Expertly remove and replace damaged structures, fixtures, and intricate woodwork to restore integrity and aesthetics.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to health, safety, and local building codes while maintaining a clean, organized work environment.
- Client Relations: Occasionally meet with clients to discuss project needs, provide accurate quotes, and ensure complete customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of professional experience in carpentry and joinery.
- Advanced skills with carpentry tools, blueprint reading, precision measuring, and complex joinery techniques.
- Ability to stand for long periods, climb ladders, lift heavy objects, and work comfortably in varied environments (heights, noise, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, clear communication, and a collaborative team spirit.
