Role Overview
The Supermarket Sales Executive is responsible for implementing the sales strategy to drive revenue growth and sales targets for their assigned area. They will also work to influence buying decisions by effectively moving sales leads from interest to purchase and converting key prospects into paying customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieving and exceeding sales targets for the assigned area.
- Developing, monitoring, and executing area sales plans and initiatives.
- Analysing sales performance, identifying gaps and implementing corrective actions.
- Expanding the customer base by onboarding new clients and partners.
- Overseeing stock levels and stock availability, pricing strategies, and promotional activities.
- Ensuring the effective distribution and availability of products across the area.
- Ensuring exceptional execution through innovative product counters and product demonstrations.
- Building and maintaining relationships with existing customers and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross selling.
- Delivering high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Supporting compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and legal requirements.
- Providing regular feedback on market trends and customer needs to support new product development.
Requirements
- A minimum qualification of a Diploma in Sales and Marketing, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- A proactive and results driven mindset with the proven ability to identify opportunities for revenue growth.
- A sound understanding of the supermarket sales process and lead generation.
- Proven experience with marketing and negotiating techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft applications specifically Excel and proficiency in CRM software.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
