Responsible for providing expert analysis of the Utilities, Energy and other related sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Under the supervision of the Manager Economic Regulation.
- Carrying out market research, analysis, development of regulatory framework and tariff models.
- Monitoring the regulatory environment including new developments and making recommendations to the FCCC on relevant policy changes.
- Provide support for regulatory decision making, market development and proposed policy recommendations.
- Focus of the role includes monitoring and performance evaluation of the Energy and utility sector.
- Undertake regulatory assessments (impacts).
- Contribute to market development and improvements.
- Conduct data analysis and modeling.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or a Postgraduate qualification in either Accounting, Corporate Finance, Energy Economics, Climate Finance, Engineering or Statistics.
- Equivalent and relevant experience in a regulatory body, public sector, utility, energy and other related sectors.
- Minimum of 6 years or more experience in related field.
- Knowledge of FCCC Act 2010 and a valid driving license will have an added advantage.
- This position will be based in the Suva Office.
