SENIOR MARKET ANALYST – ENERGY – Fijian Competition & Consumer Commission (Fccc)

Key Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of the Manager Economic Regulation.
• Carrying out market research, analysis, development of regulatory framework and tariff models.
• Monitoring the regulatory environment including new developments and making recommendations to the FCCC on relevant policy changes.
• Provide support for regulatory decision making, market development and proposed policy recommendations.
• Focus of the role includes monitoring and performance evaluation of the Energy and utility sector.
• Undertake regulatory assessments (impacts).
• Contribute to market development and improvements.
• Conduct data analysis and modeling.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or a Postgraduate qualification in either Accounting, Corporate Finance, Energy Economics, Climate Finance, Engineering or Statistics.
• Equivalent and relevant experience in a regulatory body, public sector, utility, energy and other related sectors.
• Minimum of 6 years or more experience in related field.
• Knowledge of FCCC Act 2010 and a valid driving license will have an added advantage.
• This position will be based in the Suva Office.
