Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate construction, refurbishment, maintenance and equipment installation works.
- Monitor day-to-day site activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, standards, safety requirements and approved methodologies.
- Analyse and interpret engineering drawings, technical documentation and site data to guide construction activities.
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, risk management and reporting to key stakeholders.
- Monitor project costs and support the assessment of contractor payment claims in line with contractual requirements.
- Provide technical input to resolve construction issues, vet technical submissions and manage change requests.
- Maintain accurate project records including site diaries, inspections, quality records and reports.
- Engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, airport operators and regulatory agencies, to minimise operational disruption.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with at least 3 years’ experience or a diploma-level qualification in Engineering, Building Construction or Architecture with at least 7 years’ experience in a related field.
- Proven experience supporting the delivery of building or infrastructure projects, including site supervision and technical coordination.
- A solid understanding of the National Building Code of Fiji and relevant international standards.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and construction/project documentation systems.
- Strong communication problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A valid driver’s licence.
