We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced Risk Officer to join our risk and compliance team based in Lami.

Key Responsibilities:

This is a Senior Role whereby the successful incumbent will assist in managing the implementation of the Risk & Compliance Framework for the CJ Patel Group of Companies.

Assist in managing risk and compliance related polices, framework and reporting for C.J Patel Group on an ongoing basis.
In liaison with reporting head, develop and update framework, strategy and policy for risk management and work with respective entities to maintain and monitor risk register.
Prepare reports on financial, operational, legal, strategic, and operational risks to reporting head and Board Audit and Risk Committee and Executive Committee.
Ensure proper and timely review and update of ERM policies, procedures, and documents to ensure optimal operational continuity at all times
Ensure BCP and disaster recovery plans are valid and implemented by group entities.
Complete annual risk assessment and review audit from time to time to ensure systems and procedures are in place across the group.
Conduct OHS assessment and risk profiling through site inspections and ensure all compliance relevant licenses and certifications are renewed and records updated.
Provide information and guidance to internal customers on matters relating to the functional area, ensuring that information supplied is accurate, relevant and resolves the request efficiently.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Degree in Accounting, Information Systems, Finance, Commerce, Business Studies or Risk Management with at least 3-4 years’ experience in a similar capacity. Applicants must possess excellent communications skills (written and verbal), strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Quick learner with ability work under minimum supervision.
