Viewed as one of the most Exclusive Private Island Resorts in the world, Kokomo Private Island comprises of five beautiful residences and 21 villas across 140 acres of idyllic, untouched landscape.
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced General Manager to join the Kokomo Island team based in Kadavu.
THE ROLE:
The General Manager (GM) for Kokomo Private Island is responsible for overseeing the entire operation of the luxury resort, ensuring the highest standards of service, guest experience and financial performance. This role is pivotal in managing day-to-day operations, including accommodation, food & beverage services, staff management, guest services, and various resort activities. The GM will work closely with the Sydney Sales, Marketing & Reservations teams to drive brand recognition, profitability and performance across both property and activities. In addition, the GM is responsible for ensuring the safety of all guests and staff while maintaining the Resort Island Emergency Response Plan and complying with all relevant environmental, health and safety regulations. The GM will also be responsible for overseeing all on-island infrastructure and performance while maintaining and exceeding service quality, safety, and environmental standards.
THE REQUIREMENTS:
Our ideal candidate will have the following:
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a senior leadership role or experienced manager in the luxury resort/hotel industry.
• Proven experience in managing large teams and resort operations including accommodation, food & beverage, guest services, and activities.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a remote location and adapt to a dynamic environment.
• A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining high service standards.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
