DESCRIPTION
Higgins Fiji (a trading division of Fletcher Building (Fiji) Ltd) is part of the Higgins Group in New Zealand which provides specialist services in design, construction and maintenance of roads and infrastructure. Higgins Fiji currently established in the Western Division with both maintenance in the west and road construction work throughout Fiji, invites applications from suitably qualified person for the position of Receptionist/Administrator to continue to help us deliver on our core business operations, while moving heaven and earth for our customers. This position is based in Lomolomo, Lautoka.
Main accountabilities will include:
• Greet and welcome visitors and contractors to the office, ensuring they are assisted in a timely and courteous manner.
• Maintain a welcoming, warm and professional manner when communicating with service users or clients, colleagues and other professionals.
• Provide a comprehensive first point of contact service for any incoming calls and visitor enquiries to Higgins, and provide assistance and/or re-directing them to the correct person or hearing.
• Monitor and ensure that the reception area is kept tidy and projects a business¬like image.
• Receive and sort through all incoming mail and package deliveries.
• Work closely with the finance team to ensure smooth operation of all finance matters.
• Support the finance staff by inputting into sales and purchase ledgers from source documents.
• Matching invoices to statements and purchase orders to invoices.
• Input accounting data into the accounting system with speed and accuracy.
• Process weekly payroll, including recording to projects in the accounting system.
• Other duties as assigned.
Experience and skills:
• Tertiary qualification in a related field, with related experience.
• Computer literate with experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, ombined with ability to acquire other skills as necessary.
• Excellent communication skills, autonomy, resourcefulness and ability to work alone and as part of a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with good telephone manner.
• A valid driving license.
