Walesi – IP Engineer

Walesi is seeking applications for the role of IP Engineer to be based in Suva.

Key Functions:

• Implement and integrate IT systems with Digital Television Broadcasting platform.

• Machine-to-Machine networking and connectivity.

• Manage OTT and Public WiFi deployment and systems.

• Manage WAN/LAN, Computers, Softwares and Productivity tools in office.

• Deploy and manage Point-to-Point Wireless connectivity via Microwave and Satellite systems.

• Documentations of systems and processes and implementation of business improvements initiatives.

• Manage cybersecurity system and continually enhance vulnerability protection. Performance Logging and KPI reporting of all critical infrastructure and systems.

Qualifications and Experience include:

• Recognised formal qualifications in IT and System Engineering.

• Solid TCP/IP experience and knowledge with industry certification such as CCNP.

• IT System and Project Management qualifications such as ITIL and PMP.

• Experience in working with Virtualised Environment, VM Ware and LINUX OS.

• Previous experience with VSAT, Wireless Point-to-Point, WiFi and Optic Fibre Networks preferred.

• Microsoft Sharepoint and Windows OS implementation and administration.

• Knowledge of Cloud environment and Data Center operations.

• At least 2 years working experience in a Broadcasting or Telecommunication environment would be an advantage.
