(Bands Unit)

Job Purpose:

Manage Administrative and Operational tasks at the Bands Unit, allowing musicians to focus on their performances and training.

Responsibilities

1. The position reports to the Officer in Charge- Bands Unit for Administrative Leadership by the provision of oversight into the day to day administrative functions, ensuring smooth operations within the unit.
2. Coordinate and Plan events, performances, training schedules, travel and Accommodation for members.
3. Support the OC Band in helping to implement policies, directives, regulations, records and inventory management.
4. Personnel Management of the welfare and professional development of unit members
5. Logistics and supply by managing resources, equipment and logistical needs to support the unit’s activities.
6. Maintain effective lines of communication with and between unit staff, Divisional/ Formation Commander and section heads, Executive Command, government agencies and other organizations for the collective achievement of the unit, department’s objective.
7. Actively contribute to unit and corporate requirements

Skills and Abilities

1. Must demonstrate ability to effectively and timely submit Department reports;
2. Must be a team player and effective communicator;
3. Knowledge of Microsoft (Word and Excel) Programmes and basic typing skills

Person Specification:

A Diploma (or equivalent work experience) in Management and Administration or relevant qualification. Must have demonstrated capacity and proven performance at Clerical Officer Level or equivalence; At least 1 year experience serving in an Administration setting. Must have basic understanding of the relevant legislations and must be well versed with registry procedures.

Eligibility
