1. Accountant

This position is for someone who wants to build a career in the accounting field getting local and international exposure.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities:

Roles & Responsibilities:

Your role as an Accountant will involve but is not limited to:

· Preparing tax statements, financial statements, and BAS statements at required intervals

· Creating and returning statements and documents to clients by set deadlines

· Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and other regulatory bodies when required

· Preparing business income tax returns and statements for audits

· Assisting in business planning & preparation of client reports including presentations.

· Regularly reviewing systems and making updates and improvements where necessary

· Engaging regularly with clients and maintaining strong relationships

· Identifying areas where clients and businesses can reduce tax, make claims and increase profit

· Possessing strong knowledge of tax law and statutory regulations

· Understanding the financial landscape and market trends in the accounting industry

· Assisting Senior Partner with client meetings and preparation of meeting agenda.

· Preparation of business plans, cashflow forecasts, budgets and tax planning reports.

· Handle customer enquires remotely, and action required client enquires with the team.

· Managing a team of intermediate and Junior accountants remotely.

· Maintain & Measure staff performance under supervision

· Engage in lead conversion and take clients through the engagement process by identifying opportunities.

· Develop and establish high-performing teams, including coaching and mentoring team members

· Preparing and delivering proposals and realizing business development plans

· Demonstrating an understanding of client industry sector, key performance drivers, business trends, and new technologies and industry developments

· Measure client work scope in accounting CRM to avoid redundancies

What is Required:

– Bachelor’s Degree with Major in Accounting

– Experience in XERO, QuickBooks Online, Microsoft, Practice Management

– You will build upon your sound technical foundation through independently researching solutions and preparing draft advice for review

– You have gained a sound understanding of all indirect and direct tax types including but not limited to – Stamp Duty, Capital Gains Tax, Income Tax, Land Tax, FBT

– Sound understanding of Accounting & Tax compliance with an eager attitude to continue learning

– An enquiring mind – you relish the opportunity to find the best solution

– Clear communication style – you’ll chat to colleagues and clients via email, telephone, Teams and face to face

– Experience creating budgets, cashflow reports for meeting productivity targets.

– Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.

– A self-starter who can manage autonomous work as well as sharing ideas to drive team success

– Understanding current tax legislation, principles and reporting requirements would be advantageous!
