Rewa Provincial Holding Company Limited (RPHCL) is the commercial business arm of the vanua of Rewa and its people. With property management and investment as our principal business activity, we are seeking a highly motivated, organized, and suitably qualified individual to join our team in Suva as an Accounts & Administrative Officer.

Objective of the Role
Reporting directly to the CEO, the successful candidate will oversee the smooth functioning of the office’s daily operations. This multifaceted role encompasses providing administrative and clerical support, handling public and shareholder enquiries, and playing a crucial role in supporting the Finance & Investment Officer with daily financial activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administrative: Undertake support services to ensure efficient workflow; process, verify, and document payments; maintain systematic filing for payment vouchers; coordinate incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Operations & Customer Service: Professional management of customer and shareholder services; maintain the complaints register for prompt resolution; and monitor the Property Caretaker’s register weekly to follow up on outstanding matters.
  • Accounts & Financial Maintenance: Receive and receipt rental income; update MYOB entries accurately; maintain petty cash reconciliations; provide payroll support; complete monthly bank reconciliations; and prepare statutory tax (PAYE, VAT, Provisional Tax, FBT) and FNPF lodgements.
  • Teamwork & Reporting: Collaborate across departments to achieve company goals and provide comprehensive monthly reports to the CEO for Board meetings.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: A Diploma in Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and accounting software packages, specifically MYOB.
  • Communication: Excellent command of written and spoken English, with the ability to write clear and concise reports; proficiency in the Fijian vernacular is required.
  • Attributes: Accountable, highly detail-oriented, punctual, well-organized, and flexible, with strong mathematical reasoning and problem-solving capabilities.
