Accreditation Officer
Pacific Technical and Further Education , Director’s Office – LPT010

The Opportunity

The appointee will be responsible for leading quality improvement of existing programmes, facilitating new programmes, and securing external accreditation for Pacific Technical and Further Education (PTAFE). The Accreditation officer will ensure quality assurance committees which includes Programme Advisory Committees (PAC), Board of Studies (BOS), Academic Standard & Quality Committee (ASQC) are convened on yearly basis based on the set terms of reference. The outcomes of these meetings submitted to Academic Programme Committee (APC) and Teaching Quality Committee (TQC) respectively.

The successful appointee will be required to:
•Coordinate all work leading to accreditation and review of programmes;
•Work with Pacific TAFE to prepare accreditation and external programme review documents;
•Liaise with accrediting bodies, industries and stakeholders on matters relating to accreditation, programme revision, etc;
•Provide secretarial support to Programme Advisory Committees (PAC);
•Coordinate Programme/Curriculum mapping and alignment activities for new programmes and programmes undergoing accreditation, external review, or revision;
•Carry out research on accreditation or curriculum development as required by the Director;
•Analyse data as required for the Director; and
•Prepare reports as required by the Director.

The Person We Seek

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:
•A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; and
•Three (3) years of relevant experience and management expertise in technical or administrative fields;
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
•The ability to take initiative, solve problems and work without supervision to achieve goals and meet deadlines;
•The ability to work well in a diverse team environment;
•Personal and professional integrity;
•Good planning/organising skills and the ability to act professionally.
•Punctuality and dependability;
•A keen analytical mind with attention to detail and accuracy; and
•Excellent report-writing skills.

Preference will be given to applicants with:
•A postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline;
•A proven track record of successful project management.

The position is available for a term of three years and may be renewed by mutual agreement.
Salary Range: FJ $42,789 to FJ $52,418 per annum
