Your day to day

As an Assistant Cluster Reservation Manager you will assist in driving the performance of the Cluster Reservations Team. You will ensure that all SOP’s are being adhered to according to specific brand requirements, responsible for training and coaching the team members and monitoring their performance. You will assist the Cluster Reservations Manager in maintaining and improving reservations operations to ensure a high degree of accuracy in guest reservations, maximizing revenue opportunities and satisfaction of guests and team members. You will ensure monitoring of daily arrivals for all guest requests to be carried out and communicated to. You will assist Revenue Management with inventory management, including maintenance of allotments, group blocks, and rate codes in all applicable systems.

 

 

Daily you will;

Assist in maximizing hotel revenue, RevPAR, GOP and guest satisfaction by receiving, handling and processing guest reservations for the three properties.
Support the Cluster Reservations Manager to manage the daily operations of the reservations team for the three properties.
Ensure departmental performance is in line with the hotels’ guidelines as well as contributing towards achieving the department goals.
Ensure reservations’ standards and guidelines are always followed, as well as maintain and enhance performance and service delivery.
Work closely with the front office, guest relations, sales, and revenue management to ensure effective coordination of operations and service delivery.
Respond to all individual enquiries in a timely and efficient manner, according to company standards.

 

What we need from you

For you to be the ideal candidate, you should have the following:

A Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management, Tourism Studies, Business Administration, or related fields
3-5 years experience in reservations using OPERA property management system, industry experience would be an advantage.
Possess prior leadership experience in in managing multi-stakeholder relationships in a matrix environment which offers an environment of multiplicity, uncertainty, and change
Have an eye for detail, be an enthusiastic and an approachable person who is motivated to take ownership and consistently deliver a unique guest experience.
Be a strong advocate for working collaboratively to support the wider hotel team success.
Be flexible with your availability – for example working early mornings, evenings/ nights, weekends, and public holiday shifts.
