The Naviti Resort is a member of Warwick Hotels & Resorts which has over 50 hotels and resorts in prestigious locations worldwide including Europe, USA, Asia, Africa, Bali, Middle East and the Pacific.

We seek qualified and experienced candidates for the following position;

ASSISTANT FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, leading, coordinating and controlling the operations and functions of the Finance Department in accordance with
Warwick Hotel’s accounting code of practice.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist Financial Controller in setting goals and objectives for the finance team as well as assisting in setting long-term development plans where relevant.
Supervise the day-to-day work of operations including Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Cashiering, Income Audit, Night Audit, F&B Cost Control and Purchasing.
Statutory reporting – STT, VAT, Provisional Tax, and other income tax-related matters.
Audit/review of daily revenue and collection information and activities and reporting the results thereon which include presentation of daily sales and daily cash flow reports and at the same time ensuring integrity and accuracy of information presented.
Assist in Liaising with Departments on problems and exceptions noted through the daily process in an attempt to rectify promptly and effectively. E.g. ensuring compliance to operating procedures, highlighting areas of deviation from policies and procedures, monitoring of expenses at the department level from operational to payroll, etc.
Assist in Internal and external audit and developing and enforcing internal finance controls and systems.
Ensure that all areas of responsibility within the Finance Department are properly staffed, supervised and operating smoothly.

WORK EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES:-

 Must have a minimum of 4-5 years of experience in the same or similar position preferably in the hotel industry.
 Excellent IT skills particularly in, OPERA, ACPAC systems, MS Word and Excel.
 Proven organizational, planning and tactical skills with strong people management
 A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is Required.
