Viti Foods Pte Limited is a subsidiary of CJ Patel Group of Companies. We specialize in manufacturing canned tuna and mackerel products and are locally owned with our rapidly expanding business activities both locally and overseas.

We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced person for the position of Assistant Operations Accountant to join our Finance Department at Laucala Beach Estate, Suva.

Job Responsibilities:

• Carry out costing evaluation and margin analysis and prepare reports
• Coordinate monthly, weekly and daily stocktakes and ensure timely posting in the system
• Analysis of departmental expenditure against budget conducted and improvements initiatives ensured.
• Ensure CAPEX submissions are timely and FAR managed effectively
• Manage Finance SOP’s and accurate preparation of Ad-hoc reports
• Management of accounts receivable ensured including intercompany transaction reconciliations
• Organize and coordinate effective write-offs within agreed timelines
• Reconciliations, schedules and registers managed on a timely accurate basis

Essential Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting and Finance with at least 3 years of working experience in a similar role
• Computer literate with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Good knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and ledgers
• Strong attention to details and good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
• Strong written and oral communication skills
