Bursar Vacancy – International School Nadi (ISN)

International School Nadi (ISN) is a private co-educational school located in Nadi. ISN is the only accredited International Baccalaureate World School that offers the Primary Years(PYP), Middle Years (MYP) and Diploma (DP) Programmes in Fiji. It has an enthusiastic and hardworking staff and a happy and motivated student body. ISN has a current roll of 170 students, from 14 different nations, 30% whom are Fiji Nationals.

The school seeks a highly skilled, experienced person to fill the role of Bursar for the organization. The position of the Bursar reports to the School Treasurer and the Principal of the school.

Principal Accountabilities

• Contribute to the effective financial management of the school.
• Provide accurate and timely financial and management information.
• Assist in the sound assessment and management information.
• Enhance management efficiency and cost effectiveness through of timely and adequate support of administrative services.
• Contribute to the definition and achievement of the schools business objectives, strategies and operational decisions.

Performance Standards

• Production and presentation of accurate and reliable monthly financial reports to the Principal, Finance Committee and School Board.
• Production and presentation of Varian analysis reports to the Principal, Finance Committee and Board.
• Production of the annual budget for the ISN Committee’s October meeting.
• Completion of all General ledger reconciliations.
• Efficient cash flow management and stringent controls over debtor accounts.
• Efficient, effective and proactive management of the financial affairs of the organization in line with the annual operating and capital budgets.
• Timely generation of invoices and effective debtor management.
• Coordination and management of the annual Audited Accounts.
• Timely submission of other reports which may be required from time to time.
