CAPEX & FAR ACCOUNTANT – Pacific Energy SWP Limited

Pacific Energy SWP Limited, a subsidiary of Pacific Islands Energy (PIE), Singapore, with operations across the Pacific Islands, invites applications from suitably qualified individuals for the position of CAPEX & FAR Accountant, based in the Suva head office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register (FAR), including accurate depreciation calculations and periodic reconciliations of the General Ledger.
  • Administer and monitor Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) processes, including tracking approvals, sanctions, and budget utilization.
  • Review and verify CAPEX-related payment vouchers to ensure compliance with internal controls.
  • Conduct periodic fixed asset stock takes and asset verification exercises.
  • Perform Work-in-Progress (WIP) reconciliations and prepare related management reports.
  • Reconcile intercompany accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Assist with audit queries and provide supporting documentation as required.

Requirements

  • A Degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
  • Minimum three years’ relevant experience in a similar finance or accounting role.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
