Carpenters Motors, a division of Carpenters Fiji Pte Limited and a recognized leader in the Motoring Industry in Fiji, is seeking applications from interested candidates for the role of Car Carrier Driver to be based at Carpenters Motors – New Vehicle Sales, Walubay, Suva. Responsibilities:
- Safely load and unload vehicles onto the car carrier, ensuring proper securing and protection during transportation.
- Drive vehicles to their designated destinations, following predetermined routes and schedules.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the carrier and vehicles to ensure safe operation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while operating the carrier.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle transportation, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks on the carrier as needed, such as refueling and minor repairs.
- Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times, providing exceptional customer service.
Requirements:
- Form 7 pass
- Valid driver’s license Group 2, 6 & 7 with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience of 3-5 years in similar role.
- Knowledge regulations and safety standards for transporting vehicles.
- Excellent driving skills, with the ability to operate a car carrier safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to ensuring the security of transported vehicles.
