CFS DOCUMENTATION OFFICER
About the role
Reporting to the Container Freight Station Supervisor, this role is to carry out efficient devanning and vanning of FAK containers that arrive at the CFS. Ensuring we are achieving our objectives i.e., the safe handling and proper reporting of cargo from the containers to the racks and vice versa while improving the cargo availability and services.
Some of the key responsibilities and accountabilities:
Assist with efficient devanning/vanning of all import and export FAK containers.
Loading and unloading of all incoming and outbound HMC cargoes.
Assist in the safe stacking of loose cargo on pallets and made readily available for customers in the fastest way possible
Safe handling/recording and stowage of freight in the respective bays within the warehouse.
Identifying, tallying and sorting of freight as per the marks and numbers on the cargo manifest.
Maintain an accurate outturn report and have any cargo discrepancy or shortage reported to the supervisor/principals.
Assist with cargo deliveries
Attend to principal queries in a timely manner
Reconcile invoices and forward for payment processing.
Skills/experience required:
Tertiary qualifications Diploma in Business Customs.
Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role or shipping industry.
Strong analytical and communication skills
Knowledge of customs bonded warehouse processes & customs regulation
Group 2 & 9 license
