The Human Rights and Anti-Discrimination Commission (‘Commission’) is established pursuant to section 45 of the Constitution
of the Republic of Fiji as well as the Human Rights and Anti-Discrimination Commission Act 2009. The Commission is mandated to
ensure that Fiji’s human rights laws are promoted, protected and preserved.
The Commission seeks to employ the services of a suitably qualified and experienced individual for the position of Client Information
Officer to be based at the Commissions Lautoka office.
Client Information Officer
Key Responsibilities
The Client Information Officer will be responsible for:
Providing customer service to members of the public and assisting complainants with lodging formal complaints
Updating and maintaining case management system electronically and manually
Assisting the Manager with Complaints and Resolutions with documenting, collation and filing of minutes of conciliation meetings
Ensuring that all acknowledgement, referral and referral feedback correspondences are dispatched in a timely manner as per the Commission’s established Registry Protocols
Qualification and Experience
Diploma in Sociology and / or Social Science
2-3 years of industry experience
basic knowledge of the Law
customer service and switchboard management work experience
Skills
able to perform duties independently using sound judgment
ability to follow instructions and meet set deadlines
must maintain confidentiality at all times given the nature of the work entrusted to him/her
possess cultural awareness and sensitivity to and is able to work with employees and clients from diverse backgrounds
is flexible yet demonstrates good work ethics without compromising the integrity of the organization demonstrate sound computer skills preferably in MS Excel and database
Salary
$21,929.35 – $29,982.00
Appointees will be responsible to the Director through the Manager Complaints and will be expected to work odd hours in a team
environment.
Language requirement: Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.
