Island Enterprises Ltd is a highly regarded multi-faceted Engineering and Maintenance Company located in Honiara in the Solomon Islands, we are looking for a suitably qualified Construction Supervisor to join our team of 60 trade technicians. Civil team is divided into three divisions covering manufacturing, construction and fabrication.

This role will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the construction and maintenance processes of all projects, maintenance works and service jobs.

Essential requirements:

Hold relevant Trade Certificate, Diploma or Degree – carpenter, builder, engineer
Minimum 10 years’ experience
Comprises

Preferred requirements:

Previous experience as a supervisor on mid to large-scale construction projects
Proficient in the use of AutoCAD
Proven experience in accurate material take-offs and quoting
Ensure WH&S compliance on all worksites
A proven track record of mentoring and helping junior members of staff (leading hand etc)
Good working knowledge of delivering projects to time and budget, forward planning and an ability to troubleshoot where needed
Be able to think autonomously & also work within a team
Honesty and ethical standards
Fully vaccinated against Covid19
Computer literate
Available to travel and work on a call-out roster, after hours and at weekends

About the role

This position is a full-time position based in Honiara, Solomon Islands.
Salary and remuneration based on experience, full ex-pat benefits, including accommodation and motor vehicle included
