The Core Costs and Financial Sustainability Senior Officer is a mid-tier coordination role within the IFRC Pacific team structure and plays a critical role in supporting the ongoing development and financial sustainability of Red Cross National Societies across the Pacific. In essence, the role coordinates a secretariat function and grant mechanism, which is currently led by a steering committee made up of Red Cross Movement Partners in the egion, working with Pacific Island
Red Cross Societies on Financial Sustainability efforts. The role sits within the National Society Development (NSD) Team and works closely with the Business Development Manager, the Head of Delegation and a number of other stakeholders across the Pacific.
If you have highly developed communication and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and your experience includes the preparation of strategic and operational documents and processes, the cordination of stakeholder groups and undertaking collaborative work with diverse colleagues, then this may be the role for you. With responsibility for coordinating the administration of grants – experience in this area and comfort with associated financial and accountability processes will be highly valued.
The role will also support the NSD Manager and team in maintaining the data profile of Pacific National Societies and the Pacific National Society dashboard and the right candidate must therefore be comfortable with
information management systems and processes – collating, analysing and presenting data.
Qualification. Skills & Experience:
- Degree-level education {a range of degree qualifications will be considered)
- Minimum 4 years work experience – with a track record in coordination of muttiple stakeholders and/or high-level administrative excellence
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills, and ability to organize & facilitate meetings
- Experience in Grant making and/or information management and problem-solving skills highly valued y
