The successful Credit/Collections Officer will be responsible in the timely collection of overdue debt whilst maintaining high levels of customer service. To be successful in the role you will have proven experience in a collections role ideally gained within a business to business environment. To be successful you will need:

Diploma in Accounting or equivalent qualifications
A high level of customer service
The ability to build strong relationships
The ability to problem solve using your initiative
The ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as work autonomously
Excellent prioritization skills coupled with high attention to detail
Handling challenging and demanding interactions, a resilient nature and the ability to thrive under pressure are required
Background in Customer Service, Sales or Collections
Computer skills
A clean driver’s license is compulsory
Some knowledge on legal procedures with small claims tribunal
Reporting to the Manager-Accounting, your responsibilities will include:

Collection of overdue accounts which have exceeded trading terms
You will also be responsible for managing the debt and maintaining ledger using a variety of techniques.
Maintain strong working relationships and ensure customer satistaction is maintained
Excellent communication skills with the ability to problem solve
Researching and responding to client queries and problem resolution
The proven ability to consistently meet KPt’s and financial targets will be highly regarded
