The International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) is a global service provider and a leading advocate of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) for all. We are a worldwide movement of national organisations working with and for communities and individuals. In the Pacific, we work across 9 countries.
We are seeking a suitably qualified experienced candidate for the Youth/CSE Officer position at its Suva-based office.
Qualifications and Requirements
Degree in health, social policy or management-related field or at least three years of working experience in a similar position with other development or health-related agency;
Minimum of 5 years experience in regional youth SRHR programming design, implementation and monitoring and evaluation
At least 5 years of practical experience in curriculum development and delivery of youth training and mentoring programs across multiple countries in the Pacific region.
Experience in multi-country youth program monitoring, evaluation and reporting
Experience working with in-school and out-of-school youth sexual education programming, including strategies for inclusivity
Experience with disadvantaged youth
Experience in Sexual and Reproductive Health is a requirement
Knowledgeable in project management, analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to think creatively
Experience with UNFPA programming and mechanisms an advantage
Effective communication, strong analytical, management, administrative skills and proven ability to negotiate and influence change;
Must have excellent writing skills in English, and be computer literate with good knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation software;
Cross-cultural skills, excellent knowledge of the Pacific region, and ability to work with team members from different cultures and backgrounds;
Be in support of IPPF’s aims and programmes
Salary for the above position
Remuneration package will be negotiated for this position, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
