General Description
The Director Human Resources {DHR) is responsible for the successful leadership and management of the organization according to the strategic direction set by the President and the Board of Regents. The DHR will provide leadership and capacity building in the areas of: Leadership, Operational planning and management. program planning and management, human resources planning and management, financial planning and management, employee relations/advocacy, and risk management.
The DHR reports to the President and is directly responsible for leading the HR team in the implementation and administration of key HR functions. In doing so, the DHR will provide direction and oversight of the college’s recruitment and onboarding function, employment benefits program administration, employee performance management system, position management and matters relating to employee relations.
The DHR will design, develop, deliver, and facilitate leadership, management and staff development. She / He will actively coach and support supervisory staff on human resources, performance management and employee accountability issues. Through services provided the DHR will ensure employees are provided training and awareness in the areas of HR policies and procedures, employee benefits programs. employee relations, new employee orientation. role of managers and supervisors, customer relations, individual employee performance management, employment discrimination, sexual harassment, employee complaints, and professional and career development.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
ABS/BA degree from an accredited college/university;
A minimum of 15 years of HR expenence, with at least five years of executive HR experience and at least five years of HR experience in the Pacific region.
Preference will be given to candidates with an MBA or MA / MS in human resources or related field preferred.
Benefits:
Three-years initial contract
Transportation from the point of hire to the Marshall Islands
Moving in allowance of USD $2,000.
Up to $9,000 housing allowance.
