DIVISIONAL PROPERTY MANAGER – The Salvation Army

JOB DESCRIPTION & SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
The Salvation Army Fiji Divisional Headquarters based in Suva is looking for a full time Divisional Property Manager.

The Salvation Army is a world-wide Christian organisation which through its churches provides assistance and
support to people. The Fiji Division has churches and social operations throughout Fiji, and is part of the
New Zealand, Fiji, Tonga & Samoa Territory. The Fiji Headquarters provides operational and financial support
and management for all of its churches and centres in Fiji.

The successful applicant will be expected to provide professional property management and support for all
areas of The Salvation Army Property development and maintenance within Fiji. They will be responsible to the
Divisional Commander.

The successful applicant will:
Have experience in building construction — at least 5 years
Have proven experience with construction project management
Familiarity with all aspects of property project management, Fijian building codes and authenticating authorities
Be able to liaise effectively with appropriate industry bodies and contractors
Be able to prepare specifications and plans for projects and critically review quotations
Have proven experience in project budget implementation & oversight
Computer literate with high levels of administration, organisational, and communication skills
Be familiar with contracts, leases, health & safety requirements and cyclone certification processes
Have an empathy with an understanding of Salvation Army mission as a Christian evangelical and social work organisation
Exhibit high levels of honesty, self-motivation and professional/personal ethics
A strong customer services focus responding promptly and courteously
Demonstrates initiative in identifying improvements, looking for new opportunities and undertaking self- development
Possess a current full driver’s license
