Key Responsibilities
- Manage schedules and appointments for the President and General Secretary
- Prepare and organise meetings, including agendas, minutes, and follow up actions
- Draft correspondence, reports, and presentation as required
- Maintain confidential files and records
- Facilitate communication between church leaders and various stakeholders
- Assist with project management and strategic initiatives
Requirements
- Understanding of the Methodist Church Connexional Structure, mission and values
- Familiarity with Connexional church governance and related administrative processes
- Proven experience in an executive support role or similar position for more than ten (10) years
- Experience in managing confidential information and high level communications.
- Experience in project management or office management can be beneficial
- Background in non-profit or religious organisation is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organisational and time managements skills
- Proficiency in office software (e.g. MS Office Suite, project management tool)
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Capable of exercising discretion and maintaining confidentiality
- Strong problem solving skills and attention to details
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, management, or a related field is often preferred.
- Have worked in a similar position with relevant experience for more than ten (10) years
- Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and strong work ethics
- Compassionate and empathetic, with commitment to the church mission
- Adaptable and open to change, with a positive attitude
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across diverse groups
