EXECUTIVE SUPPORT ASSISTANCE – The Methodist Church in Fiji

The Methodist Church in Fiji, (MCIF) one of the largest Christian Denomination in Fiji, is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to provide Executive Support Assistance to the Connexional leaders within the church. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient operations and effective communication within the church leadership. The above positions will be contracted for a duration of three (3) year, with a possibility of extension if necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage schedules and appointments for the President and General Secretary
  • Prepare and organise meetings, including agendas, minutes, and follow up actions
  • Draft correspondence, reports, and presentation as required
  • Maintain confidential files and records
  • Facilitate communication between church leaders and various stakeholders
  • Assist with project management and strategic initiatives

Requirements

  • Understanding of the Methodist Church Connexional Structure, mission and values
  • Familiarity with Connexional church governance and related administrative processes
  • Proven experience in an executive support role or similar position for more than ten (10) years
  • Experience in managing confidential information and high level communications.
  • Experience in project management or office management can be beneficial
  • Background in non-profit or religious organisation is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organisational and time managements skills
  • Proficiency in office software (e.g. MS Office Suite, project management tool)
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Capable of exercising discretion and maintaining confidentiality
  • Strong problem solving skills and attention to details
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, management, or a related field is often preferred.
  • Have worked in a similar position with relevant experience for more than ten (10) years
  • Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and strong work ethics
