JOB PURPOSE:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Financial Accountant will be responsible for the timely preparation and delivery of financial reports while ensuring compliance with all accounting functions in accordance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and applicable accounting standards. The role will support the assessment of operational and financial performance across the Fiji, Tuvalu, and Kiribati business units.

Key Responsibilities
- Gather and verify financial data for month-end reporting in accordance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
- Provide accounting and financial support to the Finance team while maintaining accuracy and financial integrity.
- Prepare monthly General Ledger reconciliations and conduct gross margin analysis.
- Perform inventory valuation for month-end reporting purposes.
- Reconcile VAT/tax accounts and liaise with relevant authorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Membership with a recognized professional accounting body such as FICA, CPA or CA.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in a similar position.
- Sound knowledge of IFRS, internal controls, and financial reporting requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and charting functions.
- Experience working with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems is desirable.
- Practical experience in ensuring compliance with regulatory authorities, including FRCS, RBF, and ROC.
