Pacific Energy SWP Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Pacific Islands Energy (PIE) in Singapore, with businesses in the Pacific Islands, is seeking an experienced and qualified professional for the position of Financial Accountant to be based at the company head office in Suva.

JOB PURPOSE
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Financial Accountant will ensure timely delivery of financial reporting requirements as well as ensuring compliance with all accounting functions in line with company policies, regulatory obligations and applicable accounting standards to determine operational and financial performance for Fiji, Tuvalu and Kiribati business units.

Key responsibilities include:

• Collecting and verifying financial information for month end feporting in compliance with Company Policies and Accounting Standards.
• Providing Accounting and Financial support to the Finance team and ensuring accuracy of financial systems and that financial integrity is maintained.
• Monthly General Ledger reconciliations and Gross margin analysis.
• Inventory Valuation for month end reporting.
• VAT/Tax reconciliation and liaison with Tax Authorities.

QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCE & EXPERIENCE

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related discipline from a recognized institution. A Master’s Degree would be an
  advantage.
• Member of professional bodies (CPA/CA).
• At least five years’ experience in a similar role.
• Strong working knowledge of IFRS, intemal controls and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, —_ organizational, interpersonal and communication skills with a high regard for confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with Advanced Excel skills and the ability to work with pivot tables and charts.
• Experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software is preferred.
• Hands on experience with compliance matters especially with FRCS, RBF, and ROC.
