Field Service Forklift Mechanic, SYDNEY

Our company is a leading forklift rental company based in Sydney

We have an experienced team of mechanics with a great reputation for being friendly and reliable. Due to growth and increasing sales we require additional Staff to look after our large forklift fleet

Your new job

Your role as a forklift mechanic will predominantly be on the road where you will be responsible for service of all customers and hired equipment. Duties will vary day to day,

• Service of customer machines and our Rental Fleet
• Organizing parts and inventory

What you’ll need to succeed

You will come from a similar background as either a field service or workshop-based mechanic within the forklift industry. Or mechanical background

To be successful in this role you will need to have the following:

Maintaining a professional level of customer service with all customers and clients
Strong background in a mechanical role including servicing, hydraulics and diagnostics
Experience with service of forklifts
Cert III Mechanic (Motor/Plant/Heavy Vehicle
LPG/Diesel
This is an autonomous role and leadership is required along with time management skills
Strong work ethic and self-motivation.
Well-developed mechanical aptitude.
Good time management skills with the ability to work independently.
Strong oral communication skills.
Previous experience in a similar role in an associated industry. preferred
Willingness to participate in training programs to increase your product knowledge and understanding of procedures, safe work practices, statutory responsibilities and licensing requirements.
Commitment to maintaining safe work practices.

Minimum requirement
Must have accommodation in Sydney ( relatives or friends )
Must be willing to transfer drivers license to NEW SOUTH WALES within 3 months of arriving
Must be willing to migrate to Sydney
Must not have a criminal record
