General Manager – People Culture & Corporate Services (REF NO:35/21)

The above role will be based in our Head Office in Suva while reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the successful applicant will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, direction and the day-to-day corporate management of FCCC.

The successful incumbent will demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Working towards stringent targets while planning and coordinating the implementation of FCCC’s strategic objectives and workplans through building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work in close partnership with the operational functions of FCCC providing effective management and leadership for the FCCC’s Corporate Services functions which includes Finance, HR, ICT, Awareness & Advocacy and Business Administration.
  • Maximize the organization’s ability to achieve its strategic goals with a focus on enabling a professional, achievement focused organization.
  • Promote a strong internal service culture, ensuring a service delivery approach that is responsive to the operational and strategic needs of the organization.
  • Providing and creating an enabling environment ensuring resources, capacity building programmes and strategic alliances with relevant stakeholders.
  • Providing leadership and management to ensure the vision, mission and core values of FCCC are properly put into practice for the organisation and future business endeavours.
  • Develop a progressive approach to leading change and demonstrate organizational leadership, professional integrity, well-developed communication and strategic thinking skills complemented by sound judgement and the ability to manage a changing and challenging business environment.

The preferred candidate must have:

  • An undergraduate degree in any business-related discipline with at least 5-8 years of progressive managerial experience in the area of corporate services. Applicant with master’s degree in Public Administration, Management or any other relevant field will have an added advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and execution.
  • Extensive experience in providing leadership and influencing and leading change across multidisciplinary teams in large organisations with strong business acumen.
  • The capacity to identify and control risks to the organisation that fall within the management of Corporate Services.
  • Strong commitment to the principles underpinning good governance, sound financial management and ethical business conduct.
