FWCC SEEKS TO RECRUIT A SUITABLY QUALIFIED PERSON FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION:

GROUNDSKEEPER/GARDNER (BASED IN SUVA)

We are searching for o competent and reliable Groundskeeper/Gardener to maintain gardens of FWCC owned properties in Suva. You will be responsible for ai! general maintenance tasks related to the grounds including planting, servicing garden machinery and conducting regular pruning.

Principal responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Maintain and grow the garden to ensure it meets specific requirements and expectations
• Perform basic maintenance such as cutting the grass, emptying bins, managing weeds and pest control and raking
• Plant and nurture trees, flowers, and vegetables as required
• Work with hand tools and basic light machinery such as a brush-cutter
• Service all garden equipment and machinery
• Maintain o clean garden by clearing rubbish and litter from the garden
  and grounds
• Provide guidance to management on matters related to the garden
• Ensure a safe environment for staff and clients by adhering to safety and health regulations
• Participate in meetings and activities deemed necessary by the Centre and represent FWCC where required
• Maintain and ensure buildings and premises are clean
• Any other duties deemed necessary by the Management

Selection Criteria:

* At least 4 years proven experience in a similar role
* Ability to handle a range of horticultural machinery and hand tools
* In-depth knowledge of plants and gardening techniques
* Friendly personality with excellent interpersonal skills
* Understanding of health and safety rules
* Full Group 2 driver’s license will be an added advantage
* Females are also encouraged to apply

1. Must have initiative and be able to work with minimum supervision
2, Available for weekend work if required
