GROUP CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER – Pine Group OF COMPANIES

The Fiji Pine Group of Companies is embarking on a transformative journey to strengthen governance, diversify investments and position itself as a future-ready company. The Fiji Pine Group’s subsidiaries include Fiji Pine Limited, managing over 84,000 hectares of sustainable pine plantations; Tropik Wood Industries Limited, operating sawmills, woodchip mills and a co-generation power plant; Tropik Wood Products Limited, producing sawn timber and woodchip for global markets and Fiji Pine Logistics, supporting fleet and supply chain operations.

We are seeking a visionary and dynamic Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) to lead Fiji Pine Group of Companies into its next chapter. The GCEO will provide strategic leadership, oversee subsidiaries and drive operational excellence while guiding the transition into a future ready company structure. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and governance oversight across all subsidiaries.
  • Lead the transition to a future ready company structure, ensuring compliance and shareholder confidence.
  • Drive operational excellence, innovation and transformation across forestry, manufacturing, logistics and property arms.
  • Oversee strategic investment projects.
  • Ensure robust financial stewardship, risk management and statutory compliance.
  • Represent the Group with shareholders, government, landowners and international partners.
  • Inspire and mentor senior executives, strengthening leadership pipelines and succession planning.
  • Work closely with the Board of Directors, attend Board meetings, prepare submissions and provide timely reports and recommendations to support effective governance and decision-making.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Forestry, or related discipline (preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Forestry, or related discipline with at least 10-15 years’ senior executive leadership experience.
  • Proven track record in corporate restructuring, investment project delivery, and governance.
  • Professional certification (CA/CPA, MBA, or equivalent) highly desirable.
  • Visionary Leadership: Inspire, motivate, and align diverse teams toward a common vision.
  • Strategic Acumen: Expertise in corporate strategy, investment planning and governance.
  • Financial Expertise: Strong financial management, risk oversight and investment readiness.
  • Operational Excellence: Proven ability to deliver complex projects within budget and timelines.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Diplomatic communication and negotiation skills with shareholders, landowners and regulators.
  • Transformation & Innovation: Ability to lead organizational change, digitization and diversification initiatives.
  • Resilience & Adaptability: Thrive under pressure and manage unexpected challenges.
