GROUP MANAGER INSURANCE

The Group Manager Insurance will determine analysis and placement of corporate insurance and management of insurance claims. This is an evolving position affording the right candidate opportunities for career advancement into areas such as captive management and enterprise risk management.

Key Tasks and Duties:

• Manage placement of assigned lines of Group corporate insurance
• Negotiate with Brokers and reach optimal efficiency for annual premiums.
• Oversee consolidating insurance programs for new projects and new ventures
• Oversee domestic and regional claims management
• Manage risk and claims professionals as assigned
• Manage third party claims administrator
• Liaison with legal and procurement to create contractual risk transfer guidelines for corporate contracts and approve modifications and exceptions to standard indemnification, insurance, and waiver of subrogation language
• Develop risk management standard operating procedures and socialize procedures with relevant stakeholders

Skills and Competencies

• Assessing risk of insuring company assets
• Discussing complex analyses with underwriters/brokers
• Extensive knowledge in Microsoft excel
• Monitoring loss reports
• Overseeing and approving policy endorsements
• Recommending underwriting process improvements

Requirements:

• Tertiary qualifications and certifications in general insurance from a recognized institute.
• 5-7 years’ experience in a similar role
