INVENTORY CONTROLLER

About the Role
The Inventory Controller is a very important part of the Teqwise Business Innovation Finance Team and will assist in maintaining accurate inventory control, Handling equipment, parts and consumables and other related financial tasks.
The appointee must have a strong mathematical background and who have a keen eye for detail to spot any issue that may arise.
Duties will include:
Is directly responsible to the Financial Controller through Team Lead Inventory & Receivables
Responsible for supply chain for all stock / inventory orientated tasking of the company
Operation of Inventory module in our JIM 2 Management software
Execution of accurate receiving and dispatch of stock / inventory items from suppliers, branch transfers, to customers and back and forth from technicians
Managing accurate stocks / inventory and its levels to ensure that minimum required stock / inventory is always available (Consumption and min /max levels) and not overstocking on quantities (understanding stock turns)
Responsible for overseas buying (importing) with appropriate prior approvals
Ensuring all serialized stock / inventory is accurately recorded and updated in JIM2 when receiving serialized stock/inventory
Maintaining accurate bin locations with the manual card system (bin Cards) as backup
Quotations sent to “Time and Material” customers for consumables (Toners, Drums, etc.)
Maintaining the company’s policy for the delivery time which is 10am and 3pm either internal delivery or external through couriers being the most economical
Ensuring that special runs are only done if there is an emergency and a special request through customer.
Conduct monthly frequent stocktaking checks as when required by Company Policy.
Professional set up of the Company showroom.
Highly conversant with all Company products.
Establish a good working relationship with other personals creating a positive culture and work environment.
Keep the Managers and the MD informed of developments of the Stores Department.
Submit general daily and weekly summaries and a comprehensive monthly report to manager.
Self manage and personally responsible to continue self-education in order to maintain a broad knowledge of logistical technical support service procedures, management and leadership skills.
Qualifications & Requirements:
To possess a tertiary qualification relevant to the appointment as Inventory Controller or Store Person.
To have a minimum of two-three years of work experience in a similar working environment.
To have computer literacy as well as experience in Microsoft Office and platform.
Updated knowledge of company equipment, its usage and major customers.
