JOB DESCRIPTION & SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
This position will be based at the Head Office in Karsanji Street, Vatuwaqa reporting to the IT Manager.
The nature of the role includes:
Managing the network including network planning, design and maintenance and solving any issues that arise.
Monitoring system performance including availability, utilization, throughput, and latency.
Managing all IT systems (servers, desktops/laptops & network printers).
Coordinating projects including planning, delivering, testing of all IT equipment and systems.
Providing first level IT support services to business users for Syspro, Rapid Trade & other business applications.
Ensuring client expectations are met and all ITC system issues are resolved in a reasonable time and with efficiency.
Providing day-to-day support and troubleshooting all in house software and equipment.
Maintaining an IT asset register with full tracking of all IT asset movements.
Ensuring all support calls are logged on to the Helpdesk and updated until the ticket is resolved.
Maintaining procedures and internal controls to effectively safeguard business processes in systems.
Ensuring all backups and security procedures are maintained and up to date at all times.
Ad hoc analysis and reports.
Key skills and attributes required:
A degree in Information Technology or Information Systems.
At least 5 years proven experience in a similar role in an FMCG company.
Proven IT analytical skills with sound knowledge of antivirus management, CISCO, VMWare, Palo Networks, CCTV systems, phone systems and Veeam backup and replication.
Ability to work under pressure, meeting deadlines and an eye for detail.
Working knowledge of Windows 2012, 2016 and 2019 servers, MS SQL Database administration and MS O365, Windows 10 & 11.
Proven experience with ERP systems, preferably Syspro and SAP.
A valid driver’s licence with no demerit points would be advantageous.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent customer service skills with experience in stakeholder management.
